John was our friend. We remember the days of "follow the sun" (ask Avis) and John was part of the 4 "boys" who went out to lunch every Friday and back to one of our houses to see off a couple of bottles of wine. Very good times. Jose and myself spent very enjoyable holidays together with John and Avis, not to mention the hours we spent in the George pub in Shipston putting the world to rights. John and myself were always in step with things because he was interested in cars and engineering, and we spent enjoyable times talking about the old days. We always were very competitive when it came to puns, seeing which of us would fail first. I like to think it was a draw! We are so glad we saw John with Avis a few weeks ago, sadly for the last time. 

So many laughs, so many good times we already miss you John, irreplaceable.
